Just a few weeks ago I heard some talk of Ford wanting to change the name of the new Five Hundred back to the Taurus. I thought at the time that it would be a stupid idea. Sure the Taurus had a clean track record but it is also know as the most boring vehicle out there.
Well guess what. Without a chance to even think about it (and probably the biggest announcement of the whole auto show) Ford has officially changed the name of the Five Hundred to the Taurus.
Bad move Ford and now I will never think about buying one. I don't want to be know as a guy driving the standard, boring Ford Taurus. Even my Grand Marquis sounds more exciting than that.
