NINTENDO CALLS IT QUITS FOR GAMECUBE
Nintendo has officially called it quits for it's previous generation console.
The Nintendo GameCube, named for it's cube design is now discontinued.
The GameCube has been known for games like Super Smash Bros Melee and the Mario Party Series. The console has also been know for dismal sales and lack of online gaming.
Nintendo released the GameCube November 18, 2001.
All hope is not lost, however, as Nintendo's successor to the GameCube, the Wii, will play all GameCube games and is compatible with GameCube controllers and memory cards.
